Large Neurilemmoma of The Forearm


Abstract
Neurilemmoma is a benign neoplasm arising from the Sch,,vann cell of the nerve s eath, It is usually painless and often discovered accidentally, very rarely causing motor d.sturbance.
Neurilemmoma is most common in the upper extremities but may appear anywhere.
The histology of neurilemmoma was first described by Verocay in 1908 and elaborated upon by Stout in 1935. Characteristic histologic patterns of neurilemmoma were encapsulation and verocay bodies, Antoni A and Antony B areas, palisading nuclei, and lack of malignant characteristics.
We experienced such a case of neurilemmoma which arised from¢¥ the left forearm and confirmed by radiologic and pathologic findings.
